“Life is like a piano. What you get out of it depends on how you play it.” – Tom Lehrer
Dave’s interest to learn the piano happened one evening when his dad played some tunes for his mom. He enjoyed it so much he took lessons 4th through 7th grade with his parents’ support.
Soon he heard the rockin’ piano of Jerry Lee Lewis which stemmed from the 1930’s/1940’s boogie-woogie piano.
Dave has so much fun playing even his cat Spook was learning!
While Dave can and does enjoy playing non-boogie songs such as “Mission: Impossible” and “Moonlight Sonata”, his favorites definitely include the likes of “In The Mood”, “Boogie Woogie Stomp”, “Roll’em Pete”, and “Monday Struggle”.
